echo(es)
A platform for converging research, encounters and field studies amongst artists, writers and other makers, mostly operating online. Correct me if I’m wrong marks the second chapter and presents a series of commissioned podcasts that will be broadcasted from the site beginning in the spring of 2019. This new iteration of echo(es) looks into the possibilities of audio reporting as a space for overlapping investigative and speculative storytelling. Reporting is traditionally a form of fieldwork – journalism that mediates through personal encounter. We want to approach this as an elastic form that can explore politics of speech and law-making. We will be reporting from studios, spaces of self-study, areas of obsessive making and observing. We do this for the purpose of reporting something, of sharing insights or unformed ideas: what contracts, what settlements will this require, with ourselves, a subject, time or place?
